Terms of Use

The short version: make all the memes you like, own what you make, don’t use Quipster to hurt people or break the law, and we’ll keep it working as well as we can.

Effective 21 October 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Cyburdine Systems (“we”, “us”) about the Quipster iPhone app and the quipster.app website. By downloading or using Quipster you agree to them. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). Where these terms and the Standard EULA differ, these terms apply to the extent the Standard EULA allows.

2. Your licence to use Quipster

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Quipster on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

3. Your memes are yours

You own what you make with Quipster. We don’t claim any rights to your photos, drafts or memes, and we never receive them: they stay on your device unless you share them.

You are responsible for what you create and share. Please make sure you have the right to use the pictures you bring in, and don’t use Quipster to make or share anything that:

4. Templates, stickers and fonts

The templates, layouts, stickers, effects and fonts included in Quipster are provided for you to use in your memes, including memes you share publicly. You may not extract and redistribute them as standalone assets. Some fonts are included under their own open licences, and Apple’s system emoji and fonts are subject to Apple’s terms.

5. Free version, ads and watermark

Quipster is free to use. The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob and adds a small “Made with Quipster” watermark to exported images. Ads are subject to Google’s policies, and the data involved is described in our privacy policy. We aren’t responsible for the content of third-party ads or the sites they link to.

6. Quipster Pro

Quipster Pro is an optional, one-time in-app purchase that removes ads and the watermark. It is not a subscription.

7. Changes to the app

We’re always improving Quipster, so features may change, be added or occasionally be removed. Updates are delivered through the App Store. We may stop offering Quipster in the future; if that happens, the copy on your device will keep working as long as your version of iOS supports it.

8. No warranty

Quipster is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that drafts will never be lost. Please export memes you want to keep. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content or profits, arising from your use of Quipster. Our total liability for any claim relating to Quipster is limited to the amount you paid us for Quipster Pro, or US$10 if you haven’t bought it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. About Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Quipster or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Quipster at any time by deleting it. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, your licence to use Quipster ends.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Cyburdine Systems is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you the right to bring claims in your local courts or under your local law, nothing here takes that away.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we’ll mention them in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use Quipster after that means you accept the updated terms.
